A musically transcendental breakfast par excellence. How do these traditional dishes sound: kaymak and jam, or čevapčiči with ‘matevž’ (a traditional Slovenian dish made from beans and potatoes)? These would be entirely appropriate subtitles for a concert that will take us on a journey through the musical genetic code of many local people. The Alps glow, Balkan vitamins heal and relax, and Austro-Hungarian effervescence ties everything together into a whole. The programme combines the incompatible; it celebrates, plays and dances with our feelings, offering therapy and swaying to the rhythms of the polka, the waltz and the ländler, as well as Balkan dances such as čoček, horo, kolo, sirba and šota, thus enabling us to break through geographical boundaries, limitations, dogmas or decorum. We can look forward to an Austro-Hungarian-Balkan wreath with many unexpected twists, transforming a classical concert in a park into something entirely non-classical. Forget about artificial crossover creations, the only music you will hear is a modern soundtrack, “Made in Slovenia”. ländler, čoček, ora, kola, sirbe, peat and enable us to break through geographical boundaries, restrictions, dogmas or decency. We are looking forward to an Austro-Hungarian-Balkan wreath with many unexpected twists that make a classical concert on the green a non-classical one. Unfortunately, the cold and damp autumn wind blew away the Sunday morning concert in the City Park pavilion. We remain optimistic and move it to Friday, September 20 at 17:16, when the weather forecast looks the most favorable. The City in the Breath of History walk, announced for the same day and time, has been moved to XNUMX:XNUMX and arranged so that it will take place in the park, where you can also enjoy the concert.
