Boško Jović 

Boško Jović received his primary and secondary musical education in Zenica. He then moved to Sarajevo, where he graduated from the Sarajevo Academy of Music, first in ethnomusicology (2004), and then in guitar (2006).

In 2010, he received a master’s degree from the same institution. Since 2000, he has taught at the Sarajevo Music Secondary School and his students have received numerous awards at competitions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad. In addition to classical music recitals, he often performs with artists from the genres of world music, jazz and pop. For many years, he has worked with the diva of Sevdah music, Amira Medunjanin, as well as with Stjepan Hauser from the
celebrated duo 2 Cellos and lutenist Edin Karamazov. Since 1994, he has performed as a soloist with the Zenica Chamber Symphony Orchestra, and has also appeared several times with String Orchestra 2007 and the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra. Boško Jović performs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, Czechia, Croatia, Great Britain, Serbia, Turkey, Italy, Montenegro, Belgium, Slovenia, Sweden, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark, India and Norway. He is also active as a studio musician and has performed the guitar parts for films such as Twice Born (directed by Sergio Castellitto, with actors Penelope Cruz, Emile Hirsch and Mira Furlan) and Jasmina (directed by Nedžad Begović, with actors Zijah Sokolović and Nada Đurevska).

In recent years, he has accumulated a substantial discography (Buđenje, 2014; Voyage, 2018; Strings, 2020; Napiš jednu ljubavnu with Boško Jović and Mario Rašić, 2022; Trio with Mario Rašić and Mirsad Dalipi, 2024; and Colors, 2024). Since 2013, Boško Jović has been an official promoter of the Yamaha brand of guitars.
