Ivan Vanja Radoja was born in Sarajevo, where he completed his classical music education. After finishing his studies, he served as a member of the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra for several years.

He developed a passion for Sevdah and traditional music while working in the field of music and exploring different musical styles. He has collaborated with many prominent musicians from the field of world music in both studio and live projects. Since 2009, he has been a member of the legendary world music band Mostar Sevdah Reunion, which, with its unique combination of original Sevdah music with jazz, blues, soul and ethnic elements, captivates audiences all over the world. He is currently employed in the orchestral musical production department of RTV Bosnia-Herzegovina.
