Mihael Mitev

After completing the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet, he enrolled at the Ljubljana Academy of Music, where he graduated with honours from the class of his father, Prof. Zoran Mitev. He then continued his studies of the bassoon abroad, graduating in 2018 from the Zurich University of the Arts, where he studied with Prof. Giorgio Mandolesi. During his studies, he participated in national (TEMSIG) and international competitions (ARD, AEOLUS, etc.) as well as various auditions, consistently achieving outstanding results. Among other activities, he was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra. In addition to his work in the Orchestra of the Slovene National Theatre Maribor, Mihael Mitev also performs as a chamber musician and soloist and regularly collaborates with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, the RTV Slovenia Symphony, the Frankfurt Opera Orchestra and others.
