Nina Pirc
Nina Pirc started learning the violin at the Krško Music School, then continued her education at the Velenje Music Secondary School with Igor Ulokin and at the Ljubljana Music and Ballet Secondary School with Jernej Brence.

In 2011, she graduated from the Ljubljana Academy of Music in the class of Dejan Bravničar. As a chamber musician, she received the Student Prešeren Prize in 2010 with the quartet A la corda, and she recorded Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence for the archive of RTV Slovenia with the string sextet Offstring. With the latter ensemble, she was twice invited to a seminar in Schaffhausen, where she trained under the mentorship of Ana Chumachenco, Wolfgang Boettcher, Wen-Sinn Yang and Menahem Pressler. From 2010 to 2013, Nina Pirc was a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and she is currently a member of FB Banda, which operates under the artistic direction of Mate Bekavac. She also plays in the Adora String Quartet. Since 2011, she has been a member of the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, performing in the first violins as a 1st tutti player.
