Martin Sikur
Martin Sikur studied the cello with Ciril Škerjanec at the Ljubljana Academy of Music and with Enrico Bronzi and Giovanni Gnocchi at the Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia in Portogruaro, Italy.

He also studied chamber music with Chiu Chou at the Graz University of Music and Performing Arts, as well as perfecting his knowledge of the cello and chamber music at masterclasses with renowned professors such as H. E. Deckert, B. Gmelin, W.-S. Yang, M. Ostertag, E. Schoenfeld, T. Brandis and G. Gnocchi. Between 2001 and 2005, he was a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and he currently performs with FB Banda as well as being a member of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra. Martin Sikur appears as a soloist and chamber musician in Slovenia and abroad, and has received several awards and recognitions for his work as a musician.
