Monika Trilar Babič

She studied with the oboist prof. Emanuel Abbühl at the University of Music and Theater Arts in Mannheim, and before that she obtained her master's degree with special honors Summa cum laude at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana in the class of Professor Matej Šarc. She is very devoted to orchestral and chamber music and performs in various ensembles at home and abroad. She collaborates several times with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra and the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, with whom she also appeared as a soloist in the performance of Richard Strauss's Concerto for oboe and orchestra. For it, she received the student Prešeren Prize of the Academy of Music.

She is a multiple recipient of a gold plaque and first prize at TEMSIG competitions and a prize winner at competitions abroad. He regularly participates and improves his skills at music festivals with internationally renowned musicians, including Maurice Bourgue. She enjoys working with young people, which is why she has been working with Slovenian youth orchestras as a mentor for several years.
