It features trumpeters Franc Kosem and Jure Gradišnik, trombonist Žan Tkalec, horn player Mihajlo Bulajić and tuba player Rok Vilhar. They form their repertoire with pieces of well-established literature, original compositions and adaptations, but at the same time they also commission new works by Slovenian composers. So far, the ensemble has been invited to their programs by the Maribor National House, the Ljubljana Festival, the Celeia Institute, the Škofja Loka Sokolski dom, the Velenje Festival, the Franco Bernik Domžale Cultural House, and their concerts in Slovenia were supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia. So far, the ensemble has performed abroad in Germany, Austria, Italy and Croatia.
The SiBRASS Brass Ensemble continues and builds on the tradition of the Slovenian Philharmonic Brass Ensemble, which two decades ago in Slovenia began plowing the fallow land in the field of brass ensemble music, otherwise more popular in Europe in the German lands, Scandinavia, countries
Benelux and Great Britain. The SiBRASS ensemble thus represents a unique platform, which on home soil presents arrangements and especially original works created for various brass ensembles, noble music that cannot be heard at this level in Slovenia.
