Thomas Gansch
Thomas Gansch was born in St Pölten and grew up in Melk an der Donau, where he learnt the trumpet from his father Johann Gansch.

From <span>1998</span> to <span>2006</span>, he played in the legendary Vienna Art Orchestra, which he still describes as his “true” student days. In addition to countless collaborations with musicians from all over the world and performances in almost fifty countries, he also composes for a wide variety of other ensembles in parallel to his work with Mnozil Brass.
Thomas Gansch is not only one of the most versatile trumpet players of his generation, he is also an entertainer through and through, who always has a mischievous side but never loses sight of the music. His own projects include Mnozil Brass, Wieder, Gansch & Paul, Alpen&Glühen, Schlagertherapie, Gansch & Breinschmid, Supergroup, Gansch & Roses etc. Among others, Gansch has played with Patti Smith, Bob Brookmeyer, the Vienna Art Orchestra, Don Menza, Jerry Hey Horns, Wynton Marsalis, the Janoska Ensemble, Igudesman & Joo, Kurt Ostbahn, Salonorchester Alhambra, Ensemble Pro Brass, Alegre Correa and many more.
