The complex compositional expression that usually characterises chamber music addresses a more demanding audience, making the presence of chamber music in our city a testament of its musical and cultural development. But this cycle also represents an opportunity for bolder choices when it comes to the music programme. Its variety and originality also offer the possibility to enjoy rare and unusual musical experiences, such as less frequently performed compositions, unusual instruments, contemporary music or premiers of new works. Repertoires that may be unfamiliar, harder to comprehend, and less accessible - as they do not follow the typical principles of music - represent a unique listening challenge and at the same time also a valuable tool for broadening the audience's (not only) musical horizons. In this regard, the Chamber Cycle has been successfully accomplishing its mission for years. Another important feature of the Chamber Cycle is that it regularly hosts the best Slovenian soloists and ensembles alongside top international musicians and bands. Mate Bekavac, Karmen Pečar, Boštjan Lipovšek and Luka Šulič are just a few of them who started their successful international careers by performing in the Chamber Cycle.
