SDo you remember that Christmas tree with a yellow umbrella that became a balloon? He puffed himself up and carried her high above the town houses all the way to the country where the hats grew on long stems in the beds. And it's really like that with hats (not only in a fairy tale), whatever you put on your hat, that's what you become - pure truth.

You don't believe it? Just try it. You tie a beret on your head, you already speak French, and you wield a brush in your hand. With a sailor's cap, a steamboat calls you from the river bay. Queens and kings always reign under crowns, even if donkeys are sometimes crowned. You go to the opera in a tall top hat, of course you take it off there so as not to obscure the view of some cute young lady wearing a lovely hat crowned with feathers. When you cover yourself with a "shilt cap", you take a skateboard under your feet and whiz into the white world.

We are preparing under a big fairy hat in the Fairy Palace narrative-musical performances of fairy tales and tales - magic, performances for children, musical fairy tales, dance performances, concerts for families, school art for young people, charity events, the arrival of Santa Claus (pay attention to what he wears on his head) and Santa Claus, and a wild, glittering fairy disco and elf creative workshops for young and old. They lure you to the fairy streets fairy walks - Hunt for the crown - how about this? You will be entertained by street artists in very special, fiery and dizzyingly high, funny and curious headdresses Anne Mrzla of Maribor, who sometimes adjust their hat to have a glittering coin fly into it as a sign of support. Live, live!

What is the Fairy City Festival?

Fairytale town is a city within a city; is a place that exists only in our imaginations in a place you'd want to be all year round.

Fairyland are magical corners, streets, courtyards, rooms and exhibition spaces in the center of Maribor, where every December diverse cultural events and creative workshops for all future creators - and their families.

Vetrinjski dvor transforms into a magical one Fairy palace, and Maribor transforms into a city of fairy-tale winter experiences for the whole family. A city where we play, create and socialize. The warmth is in us!

Welcome December in the city of unlimited imagination!

The heart of the action every year is represented by cultural events in the Fairy Palace, where he reigns Fairy stage.

The brightest and liveliest stage in the city presents music, theater and puppet shows, concerts by young talents and established musicians, creative, dance and DJ workshops, a reading room, a playroom, fairy tales and tales for young and old, and to top it all off, it also casts a magic spell or two. The elves prepare a particularly rich musical program on Advent weekends and during school holidays. It also happens outside the walls of the Fairy Palace: parks, trees and squares shine in the colorful lights of light installations, the streets are occupied by themed walks during the day, and in the evening Ana Mrzla Mariborska brings fire and street theater to the city. The Vilinsko mesto festival is prepared by the National House of Maribor in cooperation with To the House! in MARS Institute Maribor, and in the preparation of the program we also cooperate with other Maribor organizations in the field of culture. Because there is nothing more beautiful than creating in good company, nothing warmer than a friendly smile and nothing brighter than sparkles (in the eyes)!
